The first piece of work that I created was based on the song “Bite your tongue” by you me at six.I decided for my pages to use a dark purple as the background and for my first page I used modelling paste with a diamond stencil to create texture.I stamped musical notes on the back of my page and inked my world stamp so that only parts of the image would get printed. I colored watercolor paper with distress inks using a blending tool and stamped my letters onto them, highlighting them with a white gel pen. I cut out the letters individually and bordered them with my archival black ink pad. I did not represent marriage on the page to go along with the quote and instead decided to make my page more around the theme of music. I used a manila tag and painted it burgundy with acrylic paints. I colored card with a silvery color and bordered it again with my black ink pad. I stamped the musical notes on the paper and folded it, creating a mini choir book.
For my second page I made two bigger musical sheets for my main page, coloring them with distress inks and stamping them with my music stamp. I stenciled the diamonds onto the musical sheets with modelling paste again to create texture and layered both musical sheets over each other. Lastly I used two pieces of wasabi tape to cover up the blank space and create an accent.
