I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper

My quote this week is ‘I will be rising from the ground like a skyscraper’ from the song ‘Skyscraper’ by Demi Lovato

For my background I used a blue liquitex paint. I then used my deco art glitter paste through a diamond stencil on parts of the background. I then used my Art C butterfly and star stamps with black archival ink over the rest of the background.

For my main page I drew out eight different skyscraper shapes on my watercolor paper and colored them all different colors using my aqua spectrum watercolor pens, but only chose six for my main page. I then used white modelling paste through a square stencil so that they looked like windows. Once the modelling paste had dried I used my different butterfly stamps over the skyscrapers with my black archival ink. I then outlined them in black promarker and positioned them overlapping.

For my quote page I used the remaining two skyscrapers that I decorated and cut out a square piece of card and cut off the edges. I then colored it in pink watercolor and used white modelling paste through the square stencil like I did on the skyscrapers, I also used the butterfly stamps as I did the skyscrapers. I then colored a separate piece of watercolor paper with firework sprays and stamped the quote on with my dovecraft stamp letters using archival ink. I then cut the words out separately and outlined them with my promarker and then stuck them down onto my page.

As a finishing touch I cut out butterflies using my butterfly paper cutter from orange scrapbook paper and glued them around both pages and used three butterfly embellishments, I also added a flower above the skyscrapers on my main page.
