I got the power

My lyric for this week was ‘I got the power’ from the song ‘Power’ by Little Mix

Power1

For my background I used blue deco art acrylic paint. I then used white modelling paste through a dylusions star stencil over all of the background. Once that had dried I stamped over the background with two swirl clear stamps and a star stamp from my ArtC stamp set using black archival ink.

Power3

For my main page I cut drew out four thunderbolts and a hand with thunder coming out of it onto watercolor paper. I cut them out and then colored them with my aqua spectrum watercolor pens, using different colors. I then used my heat gun to dry the watercolor to create a watercolor effect. I then outlined everything in black promarker. I then used my artC star stamp and stamped it on all four of my thunderbolts and the thunder coming out of the hand stamping it down with black archival ink. I then used my american crafts metallic pens to draw dots on all of the thunderbolts and the spikes out of the hand. I then stuck down the hand and put two thunderbolts next to it.

Power2

For my quote page I cut out a piece of watercolor paper and cut off the edges. I then used my aqua spectrum watercolor pens to color it orange using my heat gun to dry it for the dried effect, I then used a docrafts butterfly stamp with black archival ink over the piece of card. I then cut out another piece of watercolor paper and sprayed it with imagine craft firework orange and yellow sprays. I then stamped down the quote with my dovecraft letters using archival ink. I then cut out the words individually and stuck them down on the backing, outlining them with a black graphix pen. I then used the two spare thunderbolts and positioned them next to the quote.

As a finishing touch I used my white signo gel pen to draw thunderbolts over both of the pages and on the quote backing. I then used my American crafts metallic pen to draw dots over all of the pages.
