My quote this week was ‘Gonna catch all the fish’ from the song ‘Catch all the fish’ by Brad Paisley
For the base of my background I sprayed it with a blue dylusions spray. I then put my deco art glitter paste on a piece of tissue and rubbed it into the background to create a glittery effect all over both of the pages. I then used white modelling paste through a flower stencil to create texture. Once that had all dried I stamped over the background with a starfish stamp from a Viva decor seaside stamp set and then used a star stamp from Tim Holtz and a star stamp from an Art C stamp set using my archival black ink.
For my main page I drew three fish on a piece of watercolor paper. I then colored them in with my aqua spectrum watercolor pens, all in different shades of pinks, purples and oranges. I then used my heat gun on the watercolor to create a dried effect. Once they had dried I outlined them in graphix black pen and drew wave patterns on their body. I then glued on sequins on certain parts of their body and colored in the waves with staedtler markers. I then used my American crafts metallic gold pen and my signo white gel pen to put dots all over the fish. Then I used my art C stamp set star to stamp over the sequins with black archival ink. I then took another piece of watercolor paper and colored it with my aqua spectrum watercolor pens in different shades of pink. I then drew out eleven bubbles and stamped stars on the bubbles individually and highlighted them with my signo white gel pen. I positioned four of them on my main page around my fish and saved the other seven for my other page.
For my quote page I drew a jellyfish on a piece of watercolor paper and colored it in my with aqua spectrum watercolor pens. I then decorated all of it with sequins and once they had been glued on I stamped over it with the star stamp from my Art C stamp set using black archival ink. For my quote I cut out a piece of watercolor paper and cut off the edges too it, I covered it in a sparkly tissue paper and once it was glued on stamped music notes over it with my american crafts music stamp using archival ink. For the quote I then colored another piece of watercolor paper with orange colors, stamping down the quote with my dovecraft letter stamps using archival ink. I then cut out the words individually and bordered them with the side of my black archival ink. I stuck the quote down and then stamped some of the Art C stars around the quote. With the remaining seven bubbles I positioned them all around the page.
As a finishing touch I cut out butterflies with my butterfly paper cutter from scrapbook paper and stuck them over both of my pages.
