My quote for this week is “Write on my skin, bring me to life” from the song “Write on me” by fifth harmony.
For my background i used ppd always creative butterfly patterns tissue paper. I glued it on to my page and then used purple and marmalade colored distress ink from Tim Holtz to color in the tissue paper using a Ranger blending tool. I then mixed white modelling paste with pink glitter and put it through a Tim Holtz alphabet stencil over the background. Once that had dried I used a script stamp with black archival ink over the dried modelling paste.
For my first page I drew two hands with pencil on watercolor paper and then I colored them with aqua spectrum watercolor pens and dried them as I added water to them to create a special effect. Once they had dried I used white modelling paste through a Tim Holtz alphabet stencil over the hands and once the modelling paste had dried I stamped over it with a script stamp using black archival ink. I then drew four pencils onto watercolor paper and colored them with aqua spectrum watercolor pens as I did with the hands and used the same stencil and stamp with modelling paste and black archival ink. I glued black sequins to the fingers of the hands and to the whole of the pencil. I then glued one of the hands on the page and two of the pencils on the page. Once they were glued down I used promarker to outline the images.
For my second page I used the other two pencils and the remaining hand. I glued them down and then did the quote. I took a piece of watercolor paper and sprayed it with red dylusions ink and red Mister Huey’s color mist. I then stamped down the quote with dovecraft stamps on the paper using black archival ink. I then cut out the words individually and put half of the quote on the left hand and the other half on the right hand. I then used promarker to outline the quote.
As a finishing touch I colored another piece of watercolor paper with red dylusions ink and red Mister Huey’s color mist and stamped it with my script stamp using black archival ink, I then cut out stars using my star paper cutter and glued them around my page. I also used flower and butterfly embellishments to certain parts of the pages.
