Everybody wants to be a cat

My quote this week is Everybody wants to be a cat from the Disney movie The Aristocats

Cat5

For my background I painted different color squares with liquitex paint. Once the paint had dried I painted over it with pound store silver glitter. I then used my promarker and a ruler to draw lines around the squares. I then used pebeo studio white modelling paste through a Tim Holtz square stencil. I then stamped down different pictures from my cat clear stamp set all over the background, I used a meow, a ball of wool and  a fish bone clear stamp and stamped the images down with my black archival ink. I then colored in the modelling paste squares with different color promarkers and spectrum noir alcohol marks once they had fully dried.

For my main page I drew a cat and four tins of food on a piece of watercolor paper. I cut them out and colored them with my aqua spectrum watercolor pens, I added water to them as I dried them with my heating tool to create the dried effect. I used a different range of colors for the tins of food and oranges and pinks for the cat. Once the watercolor had dried I used the stamps from the clear stamp cat set to decorate the cat and food tins. I used a fishbone, a meow, a purr and a paw to be the center of the food tins and used a meow, a purr, a fishbone and a paw on the cat, stamping it down with black archival ink. I then outlined everything with my black promarker and used my glitter signo gel pens on some of the pictures to highlight certain parts.

Cat3

For my quote page I drew two cat bowls. I drew them onto watercolor paper and then cut them out. I colored them with my aqua spectrum watercolor pens again, drying them with my heatgun as I added water. Once it had dried I stamped over the food bowl with paws for one of them, and fishbones for the other. I colored in the food that sticks out of the bowl with my glitter signo gel pens and then highlighted them both with my promarker. For the quote backing I cut out a rectangle piece of watercolor paper and cut off the sides, I then drew on stripes using four different aqua spectrum watercolor blue colors and then added water and dried it with my heatgun at the same time to blend them and create a dried effect. Once it had dried I stamped down some of the cat clear stamps with black archival ink, I used a ball of wool and a paw stamp. For the actual quote I sprayed a separate piece of watercolor paper with pink and orange dylusion sprays and stamped on the quote with my dovecrafts letter stamps using black archival ink. I then cut out the words individually and used the side of my black archival ink pad to border the words and then glued them onto the backing.

As a finishing touch I colored a separate piece of watercolor paper with spectrum noir pink alcohol markers and stamped on an Art C texture stamp over it with black archival ink, I then cut out the butterflies with my butterfly paper cutter and stamped them around my page. I also added two butterfly stickers.
